Tochigi

Utsunomiya University is one of the national universities located 100 kilometers north of Tokyo in the city of Utsunomiya, the prefectural capital of Tochigi. Utsunomiya University is a national University with approximately 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students from around the country and the world. The University has five undergraduate schools including (1) School of Regional Design, (2) School of International Studies, (3) School of Education, (4) School of Engineering, and (5) School of Agriculture and newly reorganized Graduate School of Regional Development and Creativity. The Graduate School has eight programs including (1) Community Design Studies, (2) Agriculture and Rural Economics, (3) Architecture and Building Engineering, (4) Civil Engineering, (5) Irrigation, Drainage and Rural Engineering, (6) Global and Area Studies, (7) Multicultural Studies, and (8) Studies on Community and Human Development.
